This Kickstarter project wants to turn your iPhone into your wallet:

Geode is an iPhone Appcessory that stores credit cards, loyalty cards, gift cards, and membership cards and protects the information with biometric security. The onboard universal card and e-ink barcode screen means that any card can be stored in the Geode and used anytime, anywhere.

Not only does it secure your personal information, Geode also serves as a protective case for iPhone.

Personally, I don’t want a case on my iPhone. Plus I’d still need a wallet to carry cash and my ID. But that’s just me, and this project looks clever and ambitious to say the least.

Mike Klis for The Denver Post:

Peyton Manning called Elway and John Fox this morning and told them the Broncos are his choice and he wants to start exclusive negotiations with the team, according to an NFL source.

As a Denver Broncos fan since birth, this news is bittersweet. Last season with Tebow was so much fun, but Manning is an all star and it sure will be awesome to watch the Broncos tear it up this next season.

AT&T says they set a new single-day record for iPad sales and activations. Curious:

  • What are Verizon’s numbers compared to AT&T’s? Nobody I know bought an AT&T iPad, and Verizon has a significantly broader LTE footprint than AT&T.

  • How many people bought an AT&T iPad with a false assumption about the difference between AT&T’s 4G LTE network and its HDPA+ network? A lot? Only a few?

  • I have this hunch that 4G LTE may prove to be an even bigger selling point than the Retina screen. If Apple ships an LTE-enabled iPhone later this year, what will those sales look like?

Here’s a link to Apple’s press release about this morning’s announcement of their plans to initiate a dividend and share repurchase program.

Peter Oppenheimer:

Combining dividends, share repurchases, and cash used to net-share-settle vesting RSUs, we anticipate utilizing approximately $45 billion of domestic cash in the first three years of our programs. We are extremely confident in our future and see tremendous opportunities ahead.

But the real money quote was from Tim Cook during the call’s Q&A when he was asked about what future products are in the pipeline:

We actually do love to announce new products, we just don’t do it during conference calls.
